StitchnSew Extra Firm Woven Sew-In Interfacing is used for projects requiring stability and shape. The firm layer adds just enough thickness without being bulky and stiff. Extra firm interfacing works well for designing structured purses, wallets, straps, hats, belts, camping gear, home décor, and even tablet sleeves. This particular interfacing is not fused directly onto the fabric so your project will still reveal the natural drape of the exposed fabric.

Woven interfacing has a grainline and is meant to be cut respective to the grainline of the fabric. It should be used with fabric that has little to no stretch. Generally speaking, sew-in interfacing is a personal preference and can be used with a range of fabrics. Embellished, napped, textured and loose weave fabrics are some examples where a sew-in interfacing is actually required for they cannot withstand direct heat application.
